Job Description

Smartchoice Properties seeks a marketing, project management, communication, and/or business administration intern to assist with two special projects. Shernett Edwards-Moore A’95, ’98, founder of Smartchoice Properties, is a proud UHart alumna. The ideal candidate would exhibit the key characteristics below and gain valuable work experience.

Project #1

Meet with owner to tour property locations
Create a marketing plan to package and promote visibility for the property(ies); focus on countryside weekend getaway near city, country in the heart of the city, for people in transit or professionals attending meetings and events in Greater Hartford, and/or for respite or retreat
Review and revamp current website
Create a social media presence and active posting calendar

Project #2

Create an online presence for Edwards Driving School (located in Bloomfield, CT); current students attend Edwards Driving School from word-of-mouth referrals only
Develop a strategic plan to implement online classes module and curriculum already developed by the State of Connecticut
Modernize the current website
Research and engage in grant writing that may underwrite costs associated with educational programming for students and small business needs
