The following data is taken from the Route 44 (Albany Avenue) Safety Improvements Project website that has been updated with new schedule content for the Week of November 23, 2020*.
Normal Work Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday
- Sidewalk reconstruction continues on the northeast corner of Albany Avenue and Vine Street and also on the southeast corner of Albany Avenue and Burton Street. Miscellaneous sidewalk work will occur in various locations throughout the project limits.
- Street sign repair work is underway project wide.
- No construction work will occur on November 26th and November 27th.
- Traffic Impacts: Anticipate pedestrian detours during sidewalk related construction this week. Hartford Police will assist with traffic.
Business access will be maintained. All travel lanes on Avenue will remain open before 9am and after 3pm; during other hours, partial lane closures may occur. Traffic will be maintained in both directions on Homestead Avenue and Westbourne Parkway.
